Almost 30 years ago, BRUNNER was one of the first companies to introduce wood fire inserts with a large glass pane. The name: HKD. This unique cast-iron appliance family has been developed consistently since then. The latest addition is HKD 12 - small, compact, suitable for 33-cm logs and designed in a corner format. Thanks to the geometry of its special combustion chamber, the heating gases are not directed to the front/to the door but to the rear wall by deflection. The advantage: Flame spikes, soot or dust particles cannot reach the pane surface. The pane stays clean for a long time. The corner door of the new HKD 12 is equipped with two balancers. They guarantee absolutely tight sealing in all operating positions. When closing, the door frame is caught and pulled tightly against the body at two points. When opening, a light pull on the handle bar is enough to open the locking mechanism. The door hinge can be ordered on the right or left, with a 50mm mounting frame or blind frame. With the HKD 12, the BRUNNER hood variants (low/normal/MAS) can also be installed, for more flexibility in terms of installation height and design
