from every perspective, wherever one wants it. The DF 33 turning fireplace from premium manufacturer BRUNNER based in Lower Bavaria provides a fire atmosphere from more than just one perspective and optionally with heat storage.
BRUNNER turning fireplace inserts are made of durable, high-quality cast iron in a steel frame profile. This is visually appealing and guarantees even, long-lasting and cosy heat distribution. Ideally, the turning fireplace is combined with an attached or adjacent thermal mass unit, i.e. as a tiled stove. BRUNNER DF 33 turning fireplace is mounted in a C-profile frame and allows the stove craftsman builder to develop and implement own designs. The cube, which is supported downwards and upwards and has an edge length of 50 centimetres, can be turned to all sides in the desired direction. The turning movement is carried out mechanically by hand with an operating pin or it is motorised by remote control - and has now become even lighter and sturdier.
Not that the BRUNNER DF 33 turning fireplace was noisy or unstable before. But it is a heater and is also used as such. Based on the experience of the last few years, the upper pivot bearing has now been designed to be even more resilient: even more leeway can be taken into account in terms of thermal and mechanical load. While the lower ball bearing is installed as an axial bearing in the cooler, lower axis section as a mount; absorbs the entire static load of the "turning cube" (up to 16 tonnes) and is easy to move, BRUNNER uses a more suitable concept for the upper mount. Tests have shown that: Under thermal stress, an axis guide in the burnout area with two sealing cords, which are installed in a circumferential bead and thus double-sealed, is significantly sturdier and much quieter than the variant with ball bearings. A further advantage: Due to the flanged design, the axis can be removed downwards through the combustion chamber, which means that assembly and disassembly of the turning cube by the stove builder is extremely easy and flexible.
The numerous practical and well thought-out details that are standard for the premium manufacturer from Lower Bavaria have proven their worth in the DF 33 turning fireplace. First and foremost the sealing surface, which is ground flat with the body and thus permanently tight. A sealing cord for the firebox door is therefore superfluous, the self-locking latch with integrated balancer always keeps the door firmly and tightly against the unit body.
