Water-bearing fireplace & tiled stove

Fireplaces and tiled stoves provide cosy warmth. But they can do even more. With water-bearing devices, the wood fire energy can also be fed into the hot water and heating system. This makes you independent and saves costs.

Water-bearing devices can be used to support the heating system. In the transitional period, they are a real benefit. Then one or two burn-offs per day are enough to supply both the hot water and the heating system. The main heating system does not have to be started up. And as soon as less heating energy needs to be generated with conventional energy sources such as oil, gas and electricity, it saves costs and protects the environment. And it creates independence.

From wood to the radiator

The principle of water-bearing fireplaces and stoves is simple: They only give off part of their heat to the room where they are installed. The other part is fed to a buffer tank and from there into the central heating system. BRUNNER was one of the first manufacturers to offer its tried and tested handcraft wood fire stove system with integrated water-heat. This makes that BRUNNER has more than 25 years of experience in hydraulic and control optimisation.

This is how the heat from the wood gets into the radiator:

The energy is released in the combustion chamber, where the wood burns.

The heating insert may have a water-flushed combustion chamber if necessary, but in any case it has an attached heat exchanger.

The water around the combustion chamber and in the heat exchanger heats up and is collected in a buffer tank.

From there it heats up radiators, floors and wall panel heating if required.

Specialist tip

The combination of the fireplace with other heat sources, such as the heat pump, is easy on the wallet, sustainable and makes you independent. But the heating can also be wonderfully supported by feeding the heat to a buffer tank.

Perfect complement: heat pumps and water-bearing appliances

For homes with a heat pump, the combination with a water-bearing wood stove system is an excellent relief. If it gets very cold outside and the heat pump becomes less efficient due to increased electricity consumption, the water-bearing stove can step in. BRUNNER system solutions (such as the BRUNNER heating centre BHZ) are available for intelligent heat management in the interaction of heat generators and consumers and for comfortable use of such hybrid heating systems.

By the way, power failure is not an issue. The BRUNNER emergency power supply guarantees the continued operation of all important heating pumps and the control system
